This year the Woodland Public Library is throwing an all-ages Halloween party for the whole family! On Friday, October 24th from 6-8pm, join the library for Library After Dark: Screeching Strings & Spooky Things!

The party will feature a live candlelight concert by 730 Strings inside the Carnegie for all ages to enjoy, as well as a haunted library ghost tour from Nor.Caps! Be sure to dress in costume for added spooky fun! If you’re lucky, you might even meet Frankenstein!

Activities for all ages include:

  • Candlelight Concert at the Carnegie: A gothic candlelit quartet performed by 730 Strings from the Sac Institute for Music and the Arts.
  • The Craft Crypt: A haunted bookmark bar and UV bead bracelet making.
  • Haunted Photo Booth: Be sure to come in costume for group photo opportunities!
  • Spooky Zine Fest: Make your own Halloween zine!
  • Leake Room Lair: Potion making, pumpkin painting, and trick or treat bag making!
  • Bewitched Brews and Bites: Grab a cozy bite to eat and a spooky witch’s brew mocktail to sip upon!
  • Booooo-kmobile: Creepy touch-and-feel boxes and free books to take home!
  • Frightful Stacks: Take a scary walk-through amongst the halls of the Carnegie (jump scares optional!).
  • Movie Madness: Come watch Coraline in the secret courtyard!
